The TensaPipe™ External Post-Tensioning System utilizes steel tendons helically wrapped around the exterior of an existing pipe.A TensaPipe™ tendon consists of high-strength steel strand, encapsulated by extruded plastic for corrosion protection, and an anchorage assembly. The strand is wrapped around the exterior circumference of host pipe and stressed at the anchorage utilizing hydraulic jacks.
